Dr. Florence Shu-Acquaye is a Professor of law and a faculty member of Nova Southeastern University, US. She holds an LL.B and Maîtrise (post-graduate diploma) (both with from the University of Yaoundé, an LL.M from Harvard Law School, and a J.S.M and a J.S.D from Stanford Law School. she worked in Cameroon with the Society for Women and AIDS in Africa (SWAA), an African organization dedicated to addressing the problems faced by women with HIV/AIDS. She co-authored a book and has several scholarly publications. She has given presentations on a various topics at conferences and workshops, nationally and internationally.
Dr. Florence Shu-Acquaye received many awards, she is a recipient of the In Focus magazine’s Quiet Storm Achievement Award in 2007, for her work with the Society for Women and AIDS in Africa; Distinguished Professor Award by the Federation of African Student Leaders Organization (FASL) for outstanding demonstration of leadership to students, September, 2012. She is a member of several professional committees and organizations.
Dr. Florence Shu-Acquaye's primary research interest is on Human Rights, International Trade Law, Women and the Law, Women with HIV/AIDS.
