Scholarena journals maintain the highest standards of peer review while keeping the process efficient and transparent for authors.
How we review
All research articles published in a Scholarena journal undergo full peer review. The key characteristics of our process are:
Simultaneous submissions of the same manuscript to different journals will not be accepted.
Manuscripts with content outside the scope of the journal will not be considered for review.
All research articles are reviewed by at least two suitably qualified experts.
All publication decisions are made by the journal's Editors-in-Chief based on the reviewer reports.
All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. We expect our Board of Reviewing Editors and reviewers to treat manuscripts as confidential material as well.
Members of the international Editorial Boards provide insight, advice, and guidance to the Editors-in-Chief, assisting with decision-making on specific submissions.
Managing Editors and Editorial Assistants provide the administrative support that allows Scholarena journals to maintain the integrity of peer review while delivering rapid turnaround to authors, reviewers, and editors.
Scholarena journals benefit through a manuscript referral process from the high-quality peer review conducted by established journals.
Our peer review process is confidential; reviewer identities are not revealed to authors.
Decision outcomes
After peer review, editors may reach one of four decisions:
Accept — the manuscript is ready for publication as submitted.
Minor revisions — small changes required before acceptance.
Major revisions — substantial changes required; revised manuscript may be sent for further review.
Reject — the manuscript is not suitable for publication in its current form or scope.
Our editors are committed to substantive feedback. Whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected, authors can expect constructive comments that help improve the work.
