Dr. Sheng-Yong Yang is presently working as a Professor of the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy, West China Hospital, Sichuan University, Sichuan, China. He received his PhD (1999), MSc (1993) and BSc (1990) degree from Sichuan University, China. He completed his postdoctoral research (1999-2001) in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He has many years of teaching experience. In 2002-2005, he joined Prof. Tom Ziegler’s group as a research scientist at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He has published more than 200 articles in various international journals. He has developed five drug candidates have been transferred to pharmaceutical companies and one has entered clinical trials. He was awarded the Cheung Kong Scholar of the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Life and Chemistry Research Award of Wuxi Pharma Tech in 2012 and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2013.
