Dr. Marzia Cottini is currently attending the PhD course of Angio-Cardio-Thoracic Pathophysiology and Imaging at University "La Sapienza" (Rome, Italy). Recently she started working as Cardiac Surgeon at the Niguarda Hospital of Milan, Italy. Dr. Marzia Cottini holds a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Varese (in Italy). Afterwards, she attended the cardiac surgery residency program in Varese and the last months at the Toronto General Hospital (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). She obtained the Postgraduate Specialization in Cardiac Surgery in May 2015.
Dr. Marzia Cottini attended a surgical and research fellowship in cardiac surgery at the Heart Transplantation Center of San Camillo Hospital (Rome, Italy) and then a surgical fellowship at the Cardiac Surgery Department of the La Pitie-Salpetriere (Paris, France). She received many grants and awards namely Grant Lions club, Grant "Silvia Salvati"Italy etc.,and awarded Young Investigators Awards. She also had membership in Institutes and Societies. She is Advisor, Reviewer and Editorial Board member of several scientific journals. She has published many articles and collaborated in many clinical works.
Cardiac Surgery:
Transapical valve implantation and anesthesiologist management, heart transplantation, lung transplantation (basic science and applied science), adult cardiac surgery, cardiovascular intensive care management, bleeding management in cardiac surgery, postoperative complications and management of cardiac surgery patients

Echocardiography, Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation, Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy, End Stage Heart Failure, Imaging in Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular fields, Evolution of minimally invasive surgery.
