Dr. Muhammad Irfan is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, University of Sargodha, Pakistan. He received his Ph.D. (2014) in biotechnology from Shenyang Agriculture University, China. He completed his M.Sc. (2007) and B.Sc. (2005) in the University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. He guided students for their respective project work. He is also a researcher at Food & Biotechnology Research Center, PCSIR laboratories complex, Pakistan. He has published many research articles in national and international repute journals. He has participated in various national and international conferences and gave copious presentations. He is an Editorial/advisory board member and reviewer of various reputed journals.
Dr. Muhammad Irfan’s research interest is in the Industrial Biotechnology/Applied Microbiology, Enzymology, Molecular Markers, Genomics (Plant Biotechnology). His current research focused on microbial enzymes from fermentation, lignocellulose biotechnology, single cell protein production and genomics (molecular markers in genetic diversity analysis, QTL mapping in plants).
