Dr. Vijay Gupta is currently working as Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Netaji Subhas University of Technology (formerly NSIT), New Delhi, India. He completed his M.Sc. and M.Phil. in Mathematics in 1984 and 1987 from the Christ Church College, Kanpur and Meerut University respectively, and received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Roorkee (now Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee).
Dr. Vijay Gupta is working as a reviewer of Mathematical Reviews and Zentralblatt MATH. He is acting as Referee for various international journals. He is also associated editorially in several journals of international repute. He is the author of over 300 research papers and also co-authored some research monographs. He collaborated with many well-known researchers globally.
The main research interest is Approximation Theory, especially on linear positive operators.
