Dr. Zhiqun Tan is an Associate Professor in the Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders at the University of California Irvine, United States. He is an Adjunct Professor at Jining Medical University Institute of Precision Medicine, China. He received his M.D. from Tongji Medical University and Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from Wuhan University in China. He is also a member of Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and Society of Neuroscience. Dr. Zhiqun Tan has authored over 40 articles on various topics and has received several awards related to the field of neurodegenerative disorders. He serves as an editorial board member for several scientific journals.
Dr. Zhiqun Tan interest is focused on using state-of-the-art imaging and molecular biology techniques to characterize pathological changes in the eye and their relevance for brain degeneration including neurovascular abnormalities.
