Dr. Changxiang Wang is currently working as Research Fellow at the School of Dentistry in the Institute of Clinical Sciences, University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. He obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering (Biomaterials) from Sichuan University in 1997. After two years working on the functionally graded calcium phosphate coatings at West China University of Medical Sciences, Changxiang joined Nanyang Technological University in 1999 and worked on surface modification of titanium and its alloys by using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. He moved to UK since 2001 and worked as a Research Fellow at University of Birmingham. After two years working at University of Portsmouth, Changxiang returned to University of Birmingham in 2008 as a Research Fellow to work on toothpaste formulations and toothbrush design.
Dr. Changxiang Wang has authored/co-authored a large number of research papers and has given many presentations. He is a frequent reviewer in the fields of materials science and engineering, biomaterials, and tissue engineering.
Dr. Changxiang Wang’s research interests include materials science and engineering, biomaterials, and tissue engineering. Currently, and also working on toothpaste formulations and toothbrush design.
