Dr. Somchai Amornyotin is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Siriraj GI Endoscopy Center at Mahidol University, Thailand. Until 2004 he worked as an Assistant Professor in Anesthesiology in the same university. He is the recipient of several honors and awards for his research papers. He is serving as editorial board member and reviewer for number of international Gastroenterology and Hepatology journals. He has published a number of book chapters and scientific articles in the field of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Somchai Amornyotin’s research interest includes Anesthesia for gastrointestinal endoscopy, Total intravenous sedation (TIVA), Target-controlled infusion (TCI), Sedation for pediatric patients, Anesthesia outside the operating room, Ambulatory anesthesia, Airway management, and acute postoperative pain management.
