Dr. Benjamin U Nwosu is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, United States. He received his medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria, He obtained his fellowship training in Pediatric Endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, Maryland, USA. He is a Review Editor and sits on the Editorial Board of several scientific journals. He is the Director of Outreach Sub-Committee of the Communications Committee of the Society for Pediatric Research. He is a Member of Communications Committee at the Society for Pediatric Research.
Dr. Benjamin U Nwosu’s research focus is on diabetes mellitus, obesity, growth hormone, and vitamin D physiology. He is currently the principal investigator on a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of the effect of adjunctive vitamin D on liver fat in patients with type 2 diabetes and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
