Dr. Kazi Mohsin is an Assistant Professor at Kayyali Chair for Pharmaceutical Industry, College of Pharmacy, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Mohsin obtained his PhD in Pharmacy from Monash University and MBA from Victoria University, Australia. His major research engaged with “Lipid-based drug delivery systems” using a variety of lipid-based formulations, which is predominantly related to the development and characteristics of the self-emulsifying formulations to enhance absorption of the poorly-water soluble compounds. His research interests also include conversion of liquid into solid dosage form, Immediate and controlled release formulation design and the removal of pharmaceuticals & hormones from wastewater using nano materials. Dr. Mohsin is currently leading a research group named “Lipid formulation group” and supervising numerous PhD & M.Sc. students. He has authored over 15 peer-reviewed papers in the field of pharmaceutical science. He is the current member of various scientific societies including Australian pharmaceutical scientists association (APSA), American association of pharmaceutical scientists (AAPS) and Saudi pharmaceutical society (SPS).
