Dr. Josphert Ngui Kimatu is presently working as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Botany and Director of Research Innovation and Technology at South Eastern Kenya University, Machakos, Kenya. He received his Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Epigenetics (2010) from Northeast Normal University (NENU), Changchun City, China. He completed his Master’s Degree (MPhil) in Forestry Pathology (1999) and BSc degree in Botany and Zoology (1993) from Moi University, Kenya and Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Maseno University, Kenya, 1998. He has over 10 years of professional experience and was guided to MSc and Ph.D. students for their project work. He was done research on various crops and bacteria and published peer-refereed research articles in international and national journals. He is a member of the African Biotechnology stakeholder’s forum (ABSF) and Chinese Society for Cell Biology. He got many awards and certifications for his excellence. He has participated in international and national conferences and gave presentations. He severs as an editorial board member and reviewer for scientific journals.
