Amit Baran Sharangi completed his Ph. D. in the field of Horticulture. He pursued M. Sc.(Ag.) and B.Sc (Ag.)Hons in the field of Agriculture. He is currently Professor and Former Head in the Department of Plantation, Spices, Medicinal & Aromatic Crops, Faculty of Horticulture, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya Agricultural University, India.
Amit Baran Sharangi published around 70 papers in many international journals and attended 50 international & National seminars, conferences. He published 19 books. He received many international awards, Fellowships and Honors by Central Govt. Organisations/ Institutes like Young Scientist Awards, Best Research Paper Award, etc., He is Editor in Chief and Editorial Board Member for many international journals.
Amit Baran Sharangi research interests include Herbs, spices, plantation crops, medicinal & aromatic crops etc.
