Biography

Dr. Lisa L Sample she is Reynolds Professor of Public Affairs and Community Service, University of Nebraska at Omaha, School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She completed her PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice, University of Missouri- St Louis, she get awards and fellowships in 2013 Annual Faculty Member Award from the Graduate Student Organization, 2011-2017 Reynolds Professor of Public Affairs and Community Service, and Annual Faculty Member Award from the Graduate Student Organization. She Prior Positions are Associate Professor, University of Nebraska at Omaha, 2007-2011, Assistant Professor, University of Nebraska at Omaha 2001-2006, Analyst, Illinois State Police. September 2000-June 2001, Assistant to the Editor, Robert J. Bursik Jr. Criminology: An Interdisciplinary Journal, University of Missouri- St. Louis. May 1997-June 1998. Professional Memberships American Society of Criminology, Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, International Association for Correctional and Forensic Psychology, Sex Offender Policy Research Work Group, and Association of the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. She has Teaching Experience in the fields of Undergraduate Courses Taught, Graduate Courses Taught, and Dissertations Chaired Master Theses Chaired. 

Research Interests

Dr. Lisa L Sample’s interested in the fields of Criminal and Juvenile Justice Policy, including Juvenile and Criminal Justice Sentencing Disparities, Drug Control Policies, Prison Re-Entry Programs, Sex Offender Behavior and Policies.
