Biography

Dr. Brij Mohan is currently working as a Dean Emeritus of the School of Social Work at Louisiana State University, United States. He obtained his Ph.D. (Social Work) from Lucknow University, 1960-1964. He was awarded with Presidential Life Time Achievement Award in 2008 and also several prestigious honors. He is an active participant in many scientific associations such International Association of Schools of Social Work, International Consortium for Social Development (CSW), Council on Social Work Education, National Association of Social Workers, Indian Association of Social Sciences, Asian Association of Social Welfare and, Diplomat International Academy of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling and Psychotherapy. He has authored may books and has published over 300 articles, chapters, Conference papers and reviews in leading social science journals.

Research Interests

Dr. Brij Mohan’s major areas of research encompass a paradigmatic spectrum ranging from freedom and unfreedom: 1. Social Work Education; 2. Social Policy; 3. International Social Development; 4.
