Dr. Fan Zhang, Ph.D. is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He obtained his Ph.D. at the Harbin Institute of Technology in 2001 and completed his first postdoctoral work in the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Technology and Systems, Tsinghua University from 2001 to 2003. He was an associate professor in the School of Biomedical Engineering at the Capital Medical University, China in 2005. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Medical School of University of California at San Diego from 2006 to 2008 and in the School of Informatics at the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis from 2008 to 2011. He was a Data Analyst at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine prior to joining UNT Health Science Center.
