Dr Boris Subotic was retired in 2011, as the head of the Laboratory for the Synthesis of New Materials (LSNM), Croatia. Although retired, he is still fully active in research as the outer collaborator of the “Zeolite Group” in the frame of the LSNM. He is author/coauthor of more than 200 scientific papers and five book chapters. He participated in numerous domestic and international research projects.
Dr. Boris Subotic’s research interests are mainly focused on the mechanisms of zeolite crystallization with special emphasis to the critical processes which occur at molecular and nanosized level, in both solid and the liquid phase during crystallization. In the last few years, the research interest is focused to the role of subcolloidal (nanosized) precursor species in crystallization of zeolites.
