Dr. Gianfranco Pintus is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at University of Sassari, Italy. He received his M.Sc. from the University of Sassari, and his Ph.D. from the University of Bologna, Italy. His postdoctoral training included an internship in organic chemistry at the National Research Council and basic research training at the Institute of Biochemistry at University of Sassari. He spent three years working at postdoctoral level at the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Science, National Institute on Aging, USA. He has several publications.
Dr. Gianfranco Pintus’s research interests include Oxidative stress, Signal Transduction, Vascular Remodeling, Vascular Cells, Redox State and Antioxidants.
