Dr. Marc Ramael is the present head of the Department Surgical and molecular pathology of the General Hospital AZ Herentals (Belgium) and associated professor at the University of Antwerp and at Hasselt University. He completed his Ph.D. at University of Antwerp. He has three patents and is a member of many professional organisations. He published several articles in peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Marc Ramael’s main interests are molecular pathology with main emphasis on mutations in oncogenes/suppressorgenes and molecular virology (HPV, SV40, ….) as well as bionanotechnology thereby focussing on both diagnostical and therapeutical applications.
