Dr. Álvaro Paiva Braga de Sousa got his Doctorate in Biotechnology from University São Paulo/USP, São Paulo, Brazil, and Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the University of São Paulo (USP) and Butantan Institute (2006), post-doctorate in Biomedical Engineering (2007), by FAPESP-Butantan Institute-IPEN (Institute of Nuclear Energy Research). He is doing his research work at oswaldo cruz foundation – fiocruz. He has many publications and had participated in many events, conferences, exhibitions and fairs.
Dr. Álvaro Paiva Braga de Sousa's research interest includes Purification and identification of new bioactive proteins of biomedical interest, production of the recombinants proteins and monoclonal antibodies in bioreactors, Purification of the recombinants proteins and monoclonal antibodies in HPLC systems, Quality by design, viral vaccines production, biopharmaceuticals and immunobiologicals of biomedical interest.
