Dr. Lawrence Duffy received his training at Fordham University and the University of Alaska. He had postdoctoral positions at Boston University, the Roche Institute of Molecular Biology and the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston. After a Research Faculty position at Harvard Medical School, he returned to the University of Alaska Fairbanks where he severed as Department Head, Associate Dean and Interim Dean of the Graduate School and Interdisciplinary Programs. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Resilience and Adaptation Program. He is a Fellow of the Arctic Institute of North America and the American Institute of Chemists. He is Executive Director of the Arctic Division AAAS.
Dr. Lawrence Duffy's research interests includes Effect of nano-materials on cells, and ecosystem stewardship.
