Dr. David Thomas is an Associate Professor at Florida Gulf Coast University where he teaches in the Forensics and Criminal Justice Programs. His research interests include: offender populations, violence, trauma, use of force, and police psychology. He just completed a one year study to determine if soft body is viable beyond the five year warranty and is preparing to begin phase 2 of this study. Finally, he is the C.E.O. of Police Counseling Services, LLC where he provides clinical and consulting services for several law enforcement agencies in the state of Florida.
