Biography

Dr. Xuefeng Yu is currently a Professor and Director of Center for Biomedical Materials and Interfaces at Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. He got his B Sc in Physics, M Sc in Microelectronics and Solid Electronics, and Doctor's degree (Ph.D.) in Optics at Wuhan University. From 2009.1 to 2010.12, He worked as a post-doctor in College of Life Sciences, Wuhan University. From 2011.1-2012.6, he was an associated professor in Department of Physics and Materials of Wuhan University. From 2012.7-2013.12, he was a Senior Research Associate in Department of Physics and Materials of City University of Hongkong. From 2014.02, he joined Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and then founded Center for Biomedical Materials and Interfaces. Dr. Xuefeng Yu focuses on the synthesis, optical properties and biomedical applications of nano materials. He has published over 80 SCI papers in the journals including Nature Commications, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Biomaterials, and Small etc. The SCI citation number (by others) is over 2500 times. He is a reviewer for Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Biomaterials, etc. His 9 patents have been assigned to the industrial with RMB 25 million. He has been awarded the Technology Novelty Person Award of China, Outstanding Young Scientist Award of Guangdong Branch of Chinese Academy of Science, and the Peacock Talent of Shen Zhen.
