Dr Zhigang Chen is currently an Associate Professor in Energy Materials, the University of Southern Queensland (USQ). Before he moved to USQ at 2016, Dr Chen has been worked at the University of Queensland (UQ) as ARC APD Fellow, QLD Smart Future Fellow, and Senior Research Fellow. His research concentrates in smart functional nanomaterials for thermoelectrics, nanoelectronics, and optoelectronics, from synthesizing materials to understanding their underlying physics and chemistry. As a lead Chief Investigator or Chief Investigator, Dr Chen has succeeded in winning more than 3M A$ research grant. Dr Chen has published more than 140 original journal publications with a citation of 6450 times and an H index of 41.
Dr Zhigang Chen’s is interested in the fields of Energy Nano materials, Advanced Electronic Materials, Design optimisation for emerging manufacturing processes, Advanced Manufacturing for Energy Nano materials.
