Dr. Stephen Harvey is currently working as a Professor and Associate Chair (Education) in the Department of Physiology at University of Alberta, Canada. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Animal Physiology and Nutrition at University of Leeds, United Kingdom. He awarded with NSERC’s Discovery Accelerator Award from NSERC, Canada in 2007 for his Outstanding Research, along with McCalla Research Professorship (2002-2003) and Physiology Teacher of the Year Award (2002) from the Department of Physiology, University of Alberta. He is a Member of the Neuroscience and Neuroendocrinology Group at University of Alberta, Recognized on campus as an “Established Centre of Research Excellence”.
Dr. Stephen Harvey’s research interests are Growth Hormone, Neural Retina, Retinal Ganglion Cells Atocrines/Paracrines, Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, Neuroprotection Development.
