Dr. Zhu's research interests are related to neuroscience. The molecular biology is the main approach for these projects. The gene manipulation such as gene overexpression, shRNA shutdown, lentiviral construction and microinjection into rat brains, real-time PCR and in situ hybridization, as well as primary hippocampal cultures and animal models are used in research programs.
