Dr. Hashim Mohammad is an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College, Qatar and Senior Consultant of Family Medicine working at Um Ghwailina Health Center, Qatar. He has graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland and is certified by the Arab Board of Family Medicine. He is affiliated with several other institutions including Weill Cornel Medical College-Qatar, The Arabian Gulf University, College of medicine, Kingdom of Bahrain, Greenwich University, United Kingdom, Arab Board of medical specialties.
Dr. Hashim Mohamed has presented scientific papers both locally and internationally and has been awarded the best paper presentation at the First International conference of Family Medicine in Sultanate of Oman in 2009.
Dr. Hashim Mohamed has Co-authored an educational toolkit named" Diabetes" specifically written for diabetic patients written in both Arabic and English languages and has written a chapter in a scientific book named "Cellular and biological mechanism of honey wound healing"
Dr. Hashim Mohamed research interests include the study of diabetes epidemiology, diabetic foot, and complementary and alternative medicine. He has special interest in the use of Natural honey in the management of a variety of wounds including acute and chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, varicose vein ulcers, traumatic wounds, burns, cancer related wounds and contact dermatitis
